In this energetic role, you will utilize your technical expertise and compassionate approach to support veterinarians in diagnosing, treating, and caring for a diverse range of animals. Your dedication will help ensure our patients receive top-quality care while providing a positive experience for pet owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your veterinary skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering medications. Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and analyze results to aid in diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical records, including X-ray imaging and treatment documentation. Provide pet care and animal husbandry, ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared for throughout their visit. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning and extractions. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and demonstrate dog training skills when necessary. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized. Experience Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred. Veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Hands-on experience with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory work. Familiarity with X-ray operation, pet grooming, and dog training techniques is advantageous. Equine experience or handling large animals is a plus but not required.
