Seeking Experienced Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to Join Our Team at

Compensation:
$30.00•$35.00 per hour (based on experience, credentials, surgical/dental skillset, and overall technical abilities) At Companion Animal Clinic, we are here for the animals and here for our team. We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician who is confident in surgery, dentistry, anesthesia monitoring, busy treatment flow, and client communication. Schedule Requirements We are specifically seeking coverage for the following schedule needs:
Monday:
8:00 AM•3:00 PM (Surgery Technician)
Tuesday:
9:00 AM•5:00
PM Wednesday:
9:00 AM•6:00
PM Thursday:
1:00 PM•6:00 PM (Off when working Saturdays)
Friday:
8:00 AM•6:00 PM (Surgery Technician) Every other Saturday required A Day in the Life Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures while maintaining efficient workflow throughout the hospital Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgical and dental procedures Support dentistry procedures including dental cleanings, dental radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients including medication administration, monitoring, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples for laboratory testing Operate diagnostic equipment including digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound support, and in-house laboratory analyzers Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and patient documentation Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding treatment plans, patient updates, medications, and post-operative care Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive hospital culture Support and mentor veterinary assistants and newer team members when needed Skills & Requirements Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Virginia preferred, or
RVT/LVT/CVT
