Job Description
•Students in the process of obtaining their Veterinary Technician License will be strongly considered and are encouraged to apply.•Are you ready for a change from the monotony of general practice or the overwhelm of emergency? Are you tired of working weekends, holidays and unpredictable shift lengths? Do you want to work four days a week? If you answered yes, then you are ready to be part of Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology. Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology is a new specialty ophthalmology practice located in beautiful downtown Leesburg, Virginia. We have state-of-the-art equipment and technology including the Stellaris Elite cataract unit, anesthesia/ventilator machine, extensive monitoring equipment, ezyVet/Smartflow software and more. Previous experience in ophthalmology a plus but not a requirement, we love to teach! We are currently looking for the right Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our practice. Our ideal candidate is very comfortable with anesthesia, has a good work ethic, and enjoys building relationships with clients and patients. We foster a healthy work-life balance and prioritize a friendly work environment. Candidates must be an LVT (or student in the process of obtaining license) in good standing, 3+ years of experience (emergency experience preferred), strong anesthesia skills, and have the desire to provide quality patient care.
