Certified Veterinary Technician

Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our growing practice. As a valued member of our team, you will work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff in a collaborative environment where patient well-being, client education, and compassionate care are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Utilize low-stress handling and restraint techniques to promote patient comfort and safety Monitor anesthesia and support surgical patients Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures Collect and process samples Administer medications and vaccinations as directed Educate clients on preventative care, treatments, and wellness plans Maintain accurate medical records Advocate for patient comfort and welfare throughout all stages of care Assist with client communication and appointment flow

Qualifications:

Current Wisconsin Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential or eligible to obtain within 12 months. Passion for compassionate patient care and low-stress handling practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, patient-centered approach Experience in small animal practice preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply Low Stress Handling Certification a plus
