Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Care Technician - Overnight, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. This energetic role offers you the opportunity to work overnight shifts, providing critical care and support in a fast-paced, compassionate environment. As a key member of our team, you'll assist with a wide range of veterinary procedures, ensure animal comfort and safety, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. Your dedication and skills will help us deliver exceptional veterinary services around the clock. Duties Monitor hospitalized animals overnight, providing attentive care and ensuring their comfort and safety Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering treatments Perform laboratory tests such as blood draws, sample processing, and diagnostic imaging like X-ray imaging Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, vital signs, and progress notes using veterinary terminology and record-keeping protocols Handle animals with gentle expertise, including dog handling, animal husbandry, and pet grooming when necessary Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper animal restraint methods Manage kennel cleaning, feeding routines, and ensure proper animal husbandry practices are followed at all times Stocking and maintaining inventory throughout the hospital Experience Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal care background preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care best practices Experience with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory testing is highly desirable Familiarity with X-ray operation Strong animal handling skills across various species. Pay:
$14.00 - $24.00 per hour
