• Neuroscience Unit Next Job Apply for Job Job ID 85990 Location Sacramento Full/Part Time Add to My Favorite Jobs this Job Job Summary Under the direction of the department manager, the role of the Hospital Unit Supervisor position is to provide immediate supervision of the Hospital Unit Service Coordinator IIIs and other administrative, para-technical, and volunteer staff as assigned.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experience conducting group and individual training sessions. Experience preparing reports, memorandums and documents. Supervisory skills related to recruitment, organizing, scheduling, and assigning work, training and evaluating work performance, implementing counseling, discipline and corrective actions. Strong knowledge of patient care support activities. systems, external regulations. and internal policies. Knowledge of Fair Labor Practices, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and University policies and procedures. Demonstrated analytical experience with the ability to identify, analyze, report and resolve problems accurately and timely. Working knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources maters and employee performance. Detail oriented with the ability to analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and effective solutions. • Professional Development Department Overview The Neuroscience Unit is a 15-bed acute care unit specializing in the care of neuro surgical, neuro trauma, neurology, and stroke patients.

The unit has four dedicated beds which allow for video EEG monitoring. Patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural and epidural hematomas, brain tumor, aneurysm, intracerebral hemorrhage, spinal surgery, seizure, and ischemic stroke. The unit serves as the specialty area for the management of stroke patients.
