About the Role We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to support our growing mechanical construction portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial mechanical projects and playing a critical role in the pre‑construction and bidding process. This position is ideal for a motivated estimator who enjoys problem‑solving, collaborating with project teams, and contributing directly to the successful delivery of high‑quality mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects through all phases of bidding Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to fully understand scope, risks, and requirements Perform quantity take‑offs and develop labour, material, equipment, and overhead costing Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate pricing Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to develop cost‑effective solutions Support bid strategy, bid reviews, and post bid analysis Conduct site visits as required to verify conditions and scope assumptions Assist with value engineering and cost saving initiatives Support project handover by verifying scope, budget, and documentation upon award Maintain estimating databases, pricing tools, and historical cost information What We're Looking For 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial HVAC and/or plumbing construction Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods, materials, and building codes Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications with precision Proficiency with estimating software, take‑off tools, and Microsoft Office applications Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organisational skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and nontechnical teams
