PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and supervise the repair, installation, and operation of HVAC systems, combustible equipment, and related equipment. Ensures accurate and timely cost estimations for HVAC system replacement and/or repair and procurement of necessary materials, tools, and other related items. Ensures that all paperwork is maintained as required and provides constructive and positive feedback as necessary to encourage a high level of work performance. Provide direct supervision and support to staff.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Installation, Maintenance, and Inspection of Systems:
Inspect the effectiveness and safety of the current customer's HVAC system. Assess the client's system to determine repair versus replacement by estimating job cost. Installing, maintaining, and repairing the customer's HVAC system and equipment. Diagnosing HVAC systems for electrical and mechanical defects. Cleaning, adjusting, repairing systems, and performing warranty services as needed. Maintaining a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Participate in all technical training as necessary. Complying with service standards, work instructions, and client job requirements. Procurement of necessary materials and equipment as needed. Explain to the client the scope of work completed and instructions on proper preventative maintenance procedures. Ability to work on construction sites and small areas. Supervision of Staff- Directly supervises assigned staff, including conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure that staff are adequately trained and remain compliant with all current regulatory requirements affecting the duties of their position.
- Delegate tasks for subordinate staff to complete in alignment with their job description.
- Ensure that all subordinates are utilizing proper payroll cost centers to maintain proper payroll tracking.
Miscellaneous:
Stay knowledgeable of all currentHHWP CAC
services and other social service resources available in our area. Attend staff/other meetings and training workshops as determined by the Housing and Facilities Manager. Work assignments will be performed in a safe/careful manner to protect the employee/public from any undue harm.Position Relationships:
A collaborative attitude and working relationship will be required within the organization and with clients, vendors, the Board of Directors, auditors, funders, external organizations, and the public. Maintaining a supportive, responsive, and professional working relationship is necessary. Promote the Community Action Commission and represent its goals, programs, and services—advocate for affordable housing finance options for low-income families.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit for moderate periods of time as needed. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or stoop for long periods of time.QUALIFICATIONS
- Current State of Ohio HVAC License necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how and where to procure materials necessary to complete client jobs. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required.
- Lead and EPA Certification preferred.
