HVAC Installer

Summary/Objective:

The Install Technician is expected to facilitate all aspects of a given installation. Customer communication, set up, install and clean up are the Installer responsibilities. Working with one or more assistants the Master Install Technician is required to oversee all aspects of the jobsite. If difficulties arise, they are expected to inform their Field Manager while at the same time offering up solutions to keep installations as efficient as possible and within budget while providing the customer with a high quality experience.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 pm. Occasional overtime evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Must be willing to take pictures/selfies, and social media images with coworkers for branding of Cool Zone
• Minimum of 1 years residential install experience
• Experience in 2 stage and variable speed system installations (preferred)
• Installing WIFI thermostats
• Must pass drug and background screens
• Valid driver's license and insurable through company insurance carrier
• EPA Certified
• Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
• Possess basic hand tools necessary to perform work
• Ability to work with tools used in the job in a safe manner
• Must participate in ongoing continued education provided by Cool Zone Preferred Education and Experience
• Completion of HVAC training program

Essential Duties:

• Must be able to perform any HVAC replacement function to include design, installation, ductwork systems and sizing
• Solid understanding of refrigeration to do AC and HP installs
• Wire all controllers and thermostats
• Perform all jobs to labor budgets
• Able to supervise and train others
• Maintains required levels of truck stock items
• Utilize all safety precautions and wear appropriate safety equipment at all time
