Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days) What's in it for you: This HVAC Lab Technician plays a pivotal role in validating new products including lab facility management and repair, test setups, performance testing, and continuous improvement. By leveraging their expertise in troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment and by collaborating across the engineering department, they help bring our new products to market.
Where is the work:
This is an on-site position located at our Trane Technologies HQ campus in Davidson, NC. This will be a 2nd Shift position (1:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) Monday through Thursday after a training period on regular 1st shift hours.
What you will do:
Prioritize workplace safety and follow all company and lab policies and procedures. Support the troubleshooting and repair of commercial HVAC systems and equipment including the lab facilities and products under test. Support the installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements. Support product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data. Work with engineers and other technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices. Meticulously follow test instructions and lab procedures. Assist in the repair or build of test facilities to expand the test capabilities of Trane Technologies.
What you will bring:
Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles Associate's Degree in HVAC (or related technical field); OR at least 5-years of relevant HVAC or compressor experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified
Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
$47,310.00 - $66,465.00
