HVAC Maintenance Technician

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Maintenance professional to oversee and coordinate comprehensive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems maintenance across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency of HVAC equipment. As the Lead, you will guide a team of skilled technicians, manage complex mechanical systems, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to uphold the highest standards of property comfort and operational excellence. Your expertise in HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems will drive innovative solutions and uphold safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Maintenance can include residential units and commercial kitchen equipment. Inspect HVAC equipment for proper operation and safety. Identify worn or failing components and recoommend repairs or replacements. Implement preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC equipment to minimize downtime and extend system lifespan. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes by conducting regular inspections of mechanical systems. Diagnose basic HVAC and commecial kitchen system issues during maintenance visits. Operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters to test electrical components within HVAC systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference. Clean and service condensers, evaporators, burners, blowers, drains, fliters and electrical components. Verify system performance including temperatures, pressures, amperage, airlfow and safety controls. Ensure equipement is operating within manufacturer specifications. Skills Detailed oriented and ablilty to be thorough on each and every job. Completing tickets effectively and accurately. Maintain low callback rates. Experience in construction-related HVAC installation and maintenance projects. Ensure maintenance jobs are completed efficiently and correctly Maintain positive communication between the customer, dispatch and management, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings. Ability to interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately. Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, and boilers. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing. Experience with welding techniques necessary for equipment repair or modification tasks. Assist in growing maintenance agreement retention and sales opportunities. Pay:

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
