This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters! Description of Work Reporting to the HVAC Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for providing journey level work in the areas of Heating/Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Hot Water Supply, Plumbing and Food Service Equipment at a multi-custody female correctional facility. Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Completing special repairs and assignments that are received by work orders from authorized personnel. 2. Identifying the cause of a problem and determining materials and tools and method of repair. 3. Carrying out repair procedures independently on most jobs. 4. Performing preventative maintenance functions as required and outlined in the preventative maintenance plans. 5. Training and/or supervising the work of offender workers as needed. (

Anson Correctional Institution houses female offenders in medium and close custody housing units. Anson CI offers a wide variety of educational, vocational, and training programs. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE). Family and friends can order a package of goods from a pre-approved shopping list to send to an offender. Orders are packaged by offenders and shipped quarterly.
