HVAC Service Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role involves providing expert maintenance, repair, and installation services for a variety of HVAC systems, including air conditioning and heating. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. A valid driver's license is required, and experience with residential HVAC service, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and other mechanical equipment Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices Interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately service complex systems Install new HVAC equipment and components following safety standards and manufacturer specifications Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems when necessary Repair and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems with proper safety procedures Perform welding and mechanical repairs on various equipment as needed Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC infrastructure Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields such as refrigeration, plumbing, or appliance repair Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans Experience with field service operations involving equipment repair and maintenance Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred) Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and other testing devices Skilled in welding, boiler maintenance, and general mechanical repairs (preferred) Construction or property maintenance background is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ( driver) required Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or mechanical trades are advantageous Ability to work 40 hours per week and weekends (as needed) Ability to effectively communicate Ability to order and organize parts This position is ideal for motivated professionals eager to apply their technical skills in a challenging environment while contributing to the reliable operation of critical building systems.

Pay:

$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
