Job Description
Refcon Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial/Commercial HVAC Supervisor to lead our team of skilled technicians in the installation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial clients. This working supervisor role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Supervision:
Directly supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of HVAC technicians and apprentices. Assign daily tasks, manage schedules, and conduct performance reviews. amesconstructioninc.comProject Oversight:
Oversee installation, retrofit, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, VAV systems, ductwork, controls, and refrigeration equipment. Ensure projects meet specifications, timelines, and client expectations.Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
Diagnose complex HVAC issues, provide on-site guidance to technicians, and perform hands-on repairs as needed. Conduct system inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance. manatal.comSafety & Compliance:
Enforce all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies. Ensure work complies with building codes, EPA regulations (including Section 608 refrigerant handling), and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain required certifications and documentation.Customer Relations:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients. Address concerns, conduct site visits, and recommend system improvements to enhance energy efficiency and performance.Inventory & Resources:
Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment. Coordinate ordering and staging of materials for projects.Quality Control:

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive commercial/industrial HVAC experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or lead role. amesconstructioninc.comEducation & Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical training in HVAC preferred. EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (mandatory). Valid HVAC technician license or journeyman card (state-specific). Additional certifications (e.g., NATE, OSHA 10/30, refrigerant handling) are a plus.Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial systems, including controls (DDC/BMS), chillers, boilers, heat pumps, and energy management. Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Leadership & Soft Skills:
