Duties:

• Utilize a range of hand and power tools to install, repair, and modify HVAC equipment including air conditioning compressors, condensers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, valves, and tubes.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections on refrigeration units, heating systems, and air conditioning equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair defective parts in HVAC units such as thermostats, switches, motors, controls, belts, compressors, and valves.
• Perform skilled electrical maintenance work including repairing wiring systems and connecting motors to control panels.
• Calibrate systems, install copper tubing, test joints, insulate pipes, and rebuild safety valves as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including time spent on tasks and materials used.
• Organize and track parts inventory for assigned jobs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC installation is required.
• Proficiency in van driving for transportation to various job sites.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems and ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read design plans and use tools like ohmmeters effectively.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and field service operations.
