Job Description PIRTEK in Southern New Hampshire is hiring for a Mobile Sales and Services Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on-call hours (24/7 on-call rotation with incentive pay), so dedication and grit is essential. It also requires great interpersonal skills as these technicians continuously visit potential customers, explain PIRTEK services, and build customer relationships. We are looking for a highly driven and self-sufficient individual. Our most successful Technicians are natural problem solvers, mechanically inclined, enjoy working with their hands, enjoy contacting people as part of an engagement and service process, and show passion and perseverance through their work. Experience with maintenance of heavy equipment and hydraulic systems is a huge plus. Initiative, good communication and customer service skills are important as the technicians do the technical work but also develop relationship with prospective customers and promote upsell of services. Each Mobile Sales and Services Technician is provided complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose-built mobile service unit (large vans). PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions. Visiting potential customers, introducing our services, and building relationships is a crucial and large part of the job. They will remember and call PIRTEK if they have been contacted before. Bonuses based on services of each technician and on-call schedules add to our fixed salary. Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
  • Carry out service calls & customer acquisition visits in your local area
  • Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers' needs
  • Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement (this may require taking apart and reassembling parts of an equipment)
  • Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer's satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
  • Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
  • Develop relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Maintain mobile service unit (van), tools, and equipment operational and clean
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
  • Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Experience with heavy equipment, industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, agricultural equipment, machine maintenance, or a related industry or activity is a plus . Experience with sales and public-facing activities is a plys
