Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Exceptional opportunities are available for skilled Registered Nurses with ICU experience to provide critical care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role primarily covers 12-hour night shifts within the Intensive Care Unit, with a few Progressive Care Unit (PCU) day shifts also available. Immediate needs offer candidates a streamlined interview and offer process for a quick start.
Schedule:
Mostly 12-hour night shifts in the ICU Some day shifts in the PCU may be availableQualifications:
Current, active South Dakota RN license or a compact/multistate RN license is required Proven experience working in the ICU; strong understanding of critical care protocols is essential Flexibility to adapt to either ICU night shifts or PCU day shifts as needed Excellent assessment, communication, and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calm and professionalism Current BLS and ACLS certifications; other certifications (such as CCRN) are a plus Previous travel or contract assignment experience is helpful, but not requiredResponsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients Continuously assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions Communicate effectively with physicians and team members for coordinated care Document patient information accurately and promptly in the medical record Provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy during hospitalization Adhere to all facility safety standards, policies, and nursing best practices Experience an efficient onboarding, immediate interview process, and the professional fulfillment that comes with supporting patients in a crucial care setting.
