Working Chicago Art Expo and another large scale move job. Key Responsibilities for a Mover are the following: Ability to take direction from supervisors and adhere to instructions Accurately pack, handle, and install artworks, antiques, and fine furnishings in a secure and professional manner. Assist with complex installations and site-specific projects. Provide leadership and training to junior art handlers as required. Load and unload Wetzel and Sons and third-party trucks with care and precision. Maintain detailed focus and high-quality execution on each assigned job. On occasion, report to or from a client site; in such cases, submit a manual timesheet signed by a supervisor or manager within 24 hours. Notify the Dispatch Manager of any proposed trip changes or manifest modifications before execution. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities we consider: Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic work environments. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Professional communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds; push/pull up to 150 pounds on equipment. Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching throughout the workday. Skilled in the use of logistics equipment including dollies, j-bars, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Ability to follow detailed paperwork and complete condition reporting accurately. Operates under direct supervision with limited autonomy. Changes to assignments or schedules must be approved by the Dispatch Manager. Decision-making authority may expand with demonstrated performance and tenure.
