Job Description
This position is responsible for the leadership and administration of all Head Start services at their assigned Center and requires the supervision and leadership of designated staff. Work is performed under the direction of the Center Operations Coordinator, with the Center Supervisor functioning as a member of the Agency's program management team. Interpersonal characteristics include caring about direct reports and the children and family we serve, possessing and utilizing respect, courtesy, cooperation and confidentiality at all times and ensure their direct reports adhere to these as well, exhibiting dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, managing diversity within their Center, maintaining the integrity and trust of staff and enrolled families, exhibits empathy and maintains composure during difficult situations. Leadership skills include, but not limited to, collaboration, accountability, demonstrated work ethic and commitment to the mission to meet staff and family's needs.

Supervisory and leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of working with vulnerable families through a collaborative approach is preferred. Proven ability to provide strategic planning, leadership, and management, including direct staff support and holding staff accountable. Proficiency in developing and establishing short and long-range goals and the skills to create and implement strategies and plans to meet those goals. A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and three years of classroom experience with preschool children are required. Must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work and throughout the work day.WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a setting with moderate safety issues. Some travel to outside meetings, trainings, conferences, Agency sites, etc. This position requires, sitting, standing, bending, and moderate lifting.ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
