Immediate Opening Behavior Technician (Part-Time) | Port Jefferson Station, NY

New York Therapy Placement Services (NYTPS) is seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians to provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum. We have an immediate need for a provider to work with a 5-year-old at our clinic in Port Jefferson Station for 7 hours per week.

We specialize in servicing individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) across our programs. Each individual treatment plan is tailored to the client's needs, developed and supervised by our team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-D, BCBA, BCABA).

Duties Include:

Work in our clinic in a group setting with young children implementing behavior protocols and treatment strategies. Provide one-on-one support to children, assisting in the application of tailored behavior protocols and treatment strategies. Help children with autism reach their individual goals. Implement and track individualized behavior goals and intervention plans. Maintain and update program records to ensure accuracy and progress. Collect and document data on client behavior and skills to monitor development. Complete session log notes for each child. Utilize internet-connected devices (computers, laptops, tablets) to input session information daily. Attend and actively contribute at meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND one year of supervised experience working with children ages 2-21 on the Autism Spectrum. Associate's degree considered if qualifying experience. Experience implementing ABA programs preferred. Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred.

Position requirements:

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent sitting and rising from the floor, engaging in active play, and running alongside children. Proficient in behavior management, skill instruction, and both oral and written communication. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be energetic, creative, and intuitive, with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting them in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential.

Pay range:
