In Home Caregiver LaMoure, ND 58458 $23.27 - $28.02 an hour - Temporary, Part-time $23.27 - $28.02 an hour - Temporary, Part-time Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As an In Home Caregiver, you will deliver essential support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being, ensuring each client receives respectful and attentive care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help foster a positive environment for those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and effectively Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress notes Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social interaction and reduce feelings of isolation Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated reliability with a compassionate attitude toward caregiving responsibilities Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety standards in home & community care settings Join us to provide exceptional caregiving that enriches lives!
