Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by promoting independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and passionate about delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life. You will work closely with clients to assist with daily activities, monitor health status, and create a warm, supportive environment that fosters dignity and respect. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication reminders and administer medications following prescribed care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status accurately Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring safety during meal preparation Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs, including heavy lifting when necessary Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior and communicate findings to healthcare professionals promptly Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities, promoting social engagement and independence Follow all safety protocols related to home health care, hospice care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities Requirements Proven experience in home & community care or long-term care environments; group home experience is a plus Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs including autism or dementia is highly desirable Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Strong communication skills for effective patient observation and reporting of care updates Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs Familiarity with assisted living facilities or nursing home environments is advantageous Join us in delivering heartfelt caregiving that transforms lives!
