Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various healthcare settings, including experience with geriatrics and emergency medicine. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties As an In-Home Caregiver, your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitoring clients' health by observing and reporting any changes in their condition. Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring proper medication management. Assisting with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop care plans tailored to individual client needs. Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations. Provides and/or assists clients with activities of daily living, such as grooming, oral hygiene, bathing/showering, hair care , feeding and nourishment, and incontinence care. Performs and/or assists clients with passive range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, and transfer to/from bed, floor, wheelchair , and shower chairs as needed. Positions clients in bed and/or chair when appropriate. Documents and reports care provided and client observations ,
- including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental ,
- or behavioral conditions and family situations or needs ,
- to the
- appropriate health care professional. Responds to client's request and corrects environmental hazards appropriately and safely. Obtains and performs vital signs, heights and weights, intake and output measurements, etc. Knows and can respond to emergency needs ,
- such as the Heimlich maneuver, CPR ,
- and other disaster procedures designated by Agency policies.
