Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support medication administration according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly Qualifications Certification Brain Injury and Mandatory reporter are required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for travel between client homes Must have a valid DL and proof of Auto insurance.
