Job Title:
Industrial Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with expertise in pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems. The ideal candidate will possess basic troubleshooting skills with various controls and network communication systems, as well as demonstrated capabilities in configuring inverters, VFDs, servos, encoders, and motors. A foundational understanding of safety requirements, including OSHA standards, is essential. Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, including high-pressure compressed air distribution systems. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including cylinders and pumps. Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical control systems, including Siemens Simatic, Allen-Bradley 5000, Allen-Bradley 500, Beckhoff controls, and network communication systems like Profibus and Profinet. Configure and maintain inverters, VFDs, servos, encoders, and motors. Utilize tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, Meggers, oscilloscopes, and clamp on amp meters for troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including LOTO, Arc Flash, and PPE requirements. Work on various mechanical systems, including packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gearboxes, and more. Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts safely and efficiently. Quickly assess equipment failures, determine root causes, and perform effective repairs. Prioritize tasks and make critical decisions to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency. Read European electrical schematics and order necessary components. Demonstrate an interest in learning new equipment and be a self-starter. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance mechanics of a manufacturing plant. Minimum 4 years' experience in repairing W&H Tuber and Bottomer machines preferred. Electrician Certification preferred. High School Diploma required; Bachelor of Science degree or mechanic certifications preferred. Ability to lift 41 - 70 pounds. Capability to walk or stand for at least 5 hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications Flexographic Printing Presses and High-Speed Packaging Line experience is a plus. Ability to see colors for electrical work. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and involves working on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on weekdays and possibly Saturdays. The role requires working at heights and operating equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts. Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet company and customer needs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Eastman, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr. Pneumatic Systems to include High Pressure Compressed Air Distribution Systems Hydraulic systems to include cylinders and pumps. Electrical Control Systems to include basic troubleshooting skills for either Siemens Simatic, Allen Bradley Logic 5000, Allen Bradley Logic 500, Beckhoff controls, Proximity Switches, relay logic, Limit Switches, network communication systems, and Profibus and Profinet. Demonstrated capabilities in configuring Inverters, VFDs, Servos, Encoders, and Motors Basic troubleshooting skills using Multimeters, Insulation Testers, Meggers, O scopes, Clamp on Amp Meters. Basic understanding of Safety - OSHA requirements to include LOTO, Arc Flash and PPE requirements. Must be able to work on different mechanical systems using correct tools and PPE to include but not limited to packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gear boxes, drive shafts, pulley Systems, sprockets, rollers, solenoids, valves, splitter blades, bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, timing belts, chains Must be able to work at heights, drive and operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts on a regular basis. Must be able to work methodically and quickly under pressure to quickly assess equipment failures determining the root cause of the failure and making effective repairs. Must be capable of prioritizing jobs and making critical decisions to assist in eliminating excessive downtime and enhance overall OEE for each piece of equipment. Must be able to read European Electrical Schematics and order components. Individual must be able to see colors for electrical work, must show an interest in learning new equipment and be a self-starter. Flexographic Printing Presses and High-Speed Packaging Line experience is a plus.
