Heavy industry, 24/7 operation Fluor is looking for an experienced Industrial HVAC Technician to support operations at the Rand Whitney Containerboard paper mill in Montville, CT. This is a hands on role in a heavy industry environment where reliability, safety, and teamwork matter every day. If you're the kind of tech who knows your systems, takes pride in doing things right, and doesn't mind getting your hands dirty, you'll fit in well here. What You'll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all HVAC systems throughout the mill
• Read and work from blueprints, P&IDs, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and single line drawings
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, glycol loops, air makeup units, and plant exhaust equipment
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, amprobes, RTD/mA/T C calibrators, and laptops for system communication
• Work closely with E&I technicians when needed
• Follow step by step calibration and startup procedures
• Enter work orders, parts, and PM data into the CMMS (Maximo)
• Troubleshoot 480V 3 phase motor starter circuits and 120/24V control circuits
• Diagnose control issues using your understanding of PLC logic and operation
• Work with equipment such as:
• Rosemount temperature transmitters
• ASCO solenoids
• Pressure and flow limit switches Why Work Here

• High school diploma or GED
• S 2 license preferred, or a 2 year HVAC certificate/trade school equivalent
• 4+ years of HVAC experience (industrial experience a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with 24V and 120V control circuits
• Familiarity with PLCs (Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc)
• Ability to follow strict safety procedures, including Lock Tag Try and confined space protocols
