Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description MNA Environmental, a design, studies, and consulting services firm is looking for a Hazardous Materials Inspector, Environmental Scientist, and Project Manager to join its team. MNA is a growing small business that values team work, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence in our work. The position involves a variety of environmental sampling and inspections as well as reporting and office duties.
Specific tasks may include:
Inspection and sampling of building materials for lead and asbestos, and other stressors Sampling soil or groundwater for analysis of environmental pollutants Documenting field activities Using Microsoft Office programs to create summary tables, charts, and reports Coordinating and managing projects The position requires at a minimum a 4 year college degree, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. State of Hawaii asbestos and lead inspector certifications as well as
HAZWOPER
certifications are a plus but not required. Basic computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level are required. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, communication skills, and interest in environmental issues. For the right candidate MNA will provide all required training. The position will be located in Aiea or Hilo and will require up to 60% travel within Hawaii and the Pacific. Compensation is commensurate with experience. MNA offers fully paid health insurance benefits to its employees as well as a retirement plan.
