Division Description:
ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) Division is made up of five brands strongly recognized by Contract Manufacturers and OEMs in the Electronics and Industrial Markets. The Division designs, develops, manufactures, and markets capital equipment primarily used in the assembly process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other industrial applications. Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Despatch Industrial Ovens Business Unit, leading a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, development, and ongoing support of all Industrial Oven products. The role partners closely with product management, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to deliver high‑quality, differentiated products that drive business growth. The Engineering Manager operates in a dynamic, inclusive environment and is supported by both engineering and business leadership to achieve success. The Industrial Ovens Engineering Manager is accountable for departmental budget management, resource capacity planning, effective deployment, and execution of engineering initiatives. This role drives performance excellence by establishing annual goals and objectives and conducting regular performance evaluations. As the leader of the Industrial Ovens engineering organization, the manager actively coaches and mentors team members to support career and professional growth while fostering functional excellence. This includes ensuring technical proficiency, competency development, and continuous learning opportunities. The position promotes strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration to maximize productivity across product development, support, and sustaining activities. In addition, the Engineering Manager provides regular updates to senior leadership and collaborates with peer engineering leaders across the ITW EAE division.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management Lead, coach, and mentor a multi‑discipline engineering team to drive high performance, technical excellence, and professional growth. Establish annual performance goals and objectives aligned with business priorities. Conduct regular performance check‑ins and annual performance reviews. Foster a culture of continuous learning by ensuring team members maintain appropriate technical proficiency and are provided with development opportunities. Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and results‑driven team environment. Engineering & Product Development Provide leadership for the design, development, validation, and support of Industrial Oven products. Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, cost, schedule, safety, and regulatory requirements. Oversee product development, sustaining engineering, and customer support activities to ensure timely and effective execution. Drive functional excellence and best practices in engineering processes, tools, and standards. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with product management, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to support product strategy, new product development, and lifecycle management. Promote strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration to maximize team productivity and effectiveness. Support manufacturing with design for manufacturability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Operational & Financial Accountability Own departmental budget planning and management. Manage resource capacity planning, prioritization, and effective deployment of engineering talent. Ensure proper project execution, follow‑through, and accountability across all engineering activities.
Skills and Experience:
Strong leadership skills including communications, collaboration, team building/leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring. Experience with hiring and building a cohesive team in a technical environment as well as developing technical personnel through their career paths. Demonstrable experience in preparing and managing department budget. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proven problem definition, root cause analysis, problem solving experience (technical, non-technical issues). Project management skills including the ability to plan, organize and conduct technical programs within the timeline and financial constraints. Formal training and experience in managing technical projects including mechanical, electrical, software development. Ability to develop estimates of resource allocation, prototype expenses and general ROIs for proposed programs. Experience with design and development of industrial capital equipment. Ability to conceptualize new ideas based on marketing/customer requirements and follow through various development phases and into product introduction.
Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including 2+ years engineering project, and people management experience.
Working Conditions/Physical demands:
Normal working conditions involve seated computer work and occasional operation and work on company equipment/products. Travel up to 10%. A valid passport is required. This position is located in

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is :$114,480 - $168,800(annually).
