Job Description
Job Summary Wooddale Academy is a private Christian Early Childhood program seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, be adventurous, be an out-of-the-box thinker bursting with energy, and have previous early childhood education and experience working with young children.
School Hours:
8:00 am - 4:30 pm Full-Time Year Round position Our leadership team and teaching staff work flexible schedules, enjoy a positive and supportive working environment!Responsibilities:
Assist Lead Teacher in classroom daily. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children while promoting a love of God and respect for others. Encourage children to explore and discover through hands-on experiences, observations, and investigations. Utilize materials and resources to enhance learning experiences and promote creativity and imagination. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers. Monitor and document children's progress and development, and provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers. Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current on research and trends in early childhood education.Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred or possess a current CDA. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching young children in an early childhood setting. Knowledge and appreciation of Christianity and the ability to share that enthusiasm with children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Familiarity with MN Rule 3 standards and regulations related to early childhood education. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Benefits FT employees are eligible for a full benefit package and paid time off.
