Infant/Toddler Teacher

Job Summary:

The Infant/Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for children aged 6 months to 3 years old. The teacher will plan and implement daily educational activities, build strong relationships with children and families, and ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and center policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers at all times. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Observe and assess each child's development and maintain accurate records of progress. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's daily activities, behaviors, and developmental milestones. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports diversity and respect. Assist with diapering, toilet training, and other care routines according to state health and safety regulations. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and center events. Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive classroom experience. Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations and center policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting strongly preferred. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

Indoor classroom and daily outdoor play. Active supervision and engagement with children throughout the day. Requires flexibility, patience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
