This role is responsible for monitoring infection trends, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and promoting a safe environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities Monitor and track infection prevention and control practices Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and facility infection control guidelines Educate staff on infection prevention, PPE usage, and safety procedures Conduct audits, surveillance, and documentation related to infection control Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams on resident care and outbreak prevention Maintain accurate records and reporting within EMR systems Assist with investigations and response plans for infection outbreaks Qualifications Current RN or LPN license in the state of NJ Infection prevention, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience preferred Strong knowledge of infection control standards and healthcare regulations Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Experience with EMR documentation systems preferred
