Hamilton is in the heart of Southeastern Conference Sports, a premier location for college sporting events. About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our on-site team at our TIO2 processing plant in Hamilton, MS. This is a hands-on internship designed for individuals looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced industrial IT environment. Working alongside experienced IT professionals, the intern will provide day-to-day technical support, maintain hardware across the site, and help ensure the accuracy of our IT ticketing system. The successful candidate will be expected to: Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals for end users across the site. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults, arranging repairs or replacements as needed. Perform routine preventative maintenance on IT equipment to minimize downtime. Support the installation and replacement of hardware components (RAM, hard drives, peripherals, etc.). Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding warranty repairs and equipment returns. Assist in setting up workstations for new starters, relocations, and temporary users on the shop floor. Ensure all work is fully documented in the IT ticketing system (Jira). Consistently demonstrate Tronox Core Values About You Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. Previous experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or IT administration role (even informal or voluntary) preferred. Solid foundational understanding of PC hardware components and how they work. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A willingness to work on-site in an active manufacturing environment and follow all safety training procedures. Clear and professional communication skills — both written and verbal. Excellent customer services skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Familiarity with asset management tools or ticketing systems. Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly structured environment preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Physical Requirements Must be clean-shaven in areas where facial hair would interfere with the proper fit and seal of a respirator. This includes no beards, goatees, mustaches that extend below the top lip or excessive sideburns. Occasionally ascending or descending stairs and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks. Occasional prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer Constantly walking long distances from one worksite to another.
