Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, making critical assessments and delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders. Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor responses to treatment and identify any complications. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information. Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Perform phlebotomy as needed for blood draws or lab tests. Ensure the infusion area is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in infusion therapy. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices. Experience working in a hospital or teaching hospital setting is preferred. Familiarity with pediatric care, including experience with children and toddler care, is advantageous. Excellent patient assessment skills to evaluate health status effectively. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families. Proficiency in adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
