Job Description
Nation's Infusion at Home is seeking an on-site, full-time Infusion Pharmacist for our office in Owings Mills! The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM with a minimal rotating on-call schedule. Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing sterile compounding operations and ensuring the safe, accurate preparation of compounded infusion therapies in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including USP <797> and <800>. Supervise and mentor compounding staff, verify and release finished products, and maintain cleanroom environments and equipment to meet strict quality and safety requirements. Evaluate the appropriateness of infusion therapies, develop patient-specific care plans, and collaborate with prescribers and care teams to optimize outcomes Provide education to patients and caregivers, monitor therapy effectiveness, and proactively identify and resolve medication-related issues Ensure accurate dispensing and coordination of medication delivery, maintain inventory and supply levels, and support the use of pharmacy technology and infusion equipment Participate in quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and accreditation readiness, as well as thorough documentation and adherence to all legal and ethical standards Contribute to process improvements and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Requirements PharmD (or equivalent) required At least 1 year of experience working in a Home Infusion pharmacy setting or at least 2 years of relevant pharmacist experience Experience and strong knowledge base in intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy. Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and <800> standards, aseptic technique, and infusion therapy management Experience with procurement and inventory management of medications Ability to train and supervise pharmacy technicians Proficient with software including, but limited to, O365 and EMR systems Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment Active Maryland Pharmacist License required; DC license preferred . Candidates without a DC license will need to apply for it within 90 days of employment. Ability to work the required schedule, including an on-call rotation which may include weekends, evenings, and overnights.Job Type:
