Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Infusion Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise in infusion therapy, patient assessment, and medication administration, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves providing specialized infusion services across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and home care environments. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in managing complex cases, utilizing advanced EMR systems, and adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols. As an integral part of our team, you will support patient recovery and comfort through expert nursing interventions and compassionate care. Duties Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, medications, and fluids accurately while monitoring patient responses for adverse reactions. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine infusion needs, vital signs, and overall health status prior to treatment. Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Document all nursing interventions and patient responses thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) system. Educate patients on infusion procedures, medication side effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times. Skills Extensive experience with IV insertion, catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic technique. Knowledge of infusion therapy protocols for diverse specialties such as Rheumatology. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and physiological evaluation. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and laboratory experience for specimen collection/processing. Excellent communication skills for triage situations, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
