You will leverage your expertise in mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting to optimize production cycles and minimize downtime, directly impacting our manufacturing output and product quality. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds to ensure peak operational performance. Analyze and resolve tooling-related defects such as flash, short shots, and dimensional inaccuracies to maintain high-quality standards. Perform precision bench work, including fitting, spotting, grinding, and polishing, to restore and improve mold components. Interpret intricate blueprints, CAD designs, and technical schematics to guide repair and modification processes. Provide hands-on support during mold changeovers and assist with startup troubleshooting on the production floor. Operate manual toolroom machinery, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment, to fabricate or modify tooling parts. Partner with process engineers to identify and implement tooling enhancements that drive production efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in mold repair, maintenance, and toolroom operations. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and CAD drawings. Hands-on experience operating manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders. Deep understanding of plastic injection molding processes and common tooling failure modes. Preferred Skills Experience with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) operations. Background in collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing uptime. Knowledge of advanced mold design principles and material properties.
