Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Ink Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and maintaining ink formulations used in high-security printing processes. Your expertise will ensure consistent ink quality for our precision printing operations, supporting the production of secure documents and currency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a specialized manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and innovation are paramount. Responsibilities Prepare and mix ink formulations according to precise specifications and production requirements Operate machinery related to ink preparation, including mixers and machining equipment Maintain accurate records of ink batches, formulations, and adjustments for quality control purposes Conduct routine inspections of ink supplies and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed Collaborate with prepress teams to ensure ink compatibility with printing presses such as flexo presses Assist with troubleshooting ink-related issues during the printing process to minimize downtime Support safety protocols by handling chemicals responsibly and maintaining a clean work environment Skills Experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment is preferred for efficient inventory management Knowledge of prepress processes and how they integrate with ink formulation is advantageous Strong background in manufacturing environments, especially within printing or packaging industries Familiarity with flexo press operations and maintenance enhances your ability to support production needs Understanding of packaging materials and their interaction with different inks ensures optimal print quality Machining skills help in preparing custom components or maintaining ink preparation equipment Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to follow detailed instructions are essential for success in this role

From $21.00 per hour
