INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIST

• US psychiatry residency required Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections.

We are seeking a full-time Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at Reception and Medical Center located in Lake Butler, Florida 25 miles north of Gainesville. Practice in a large male correctional hospital providing inpatient services or reception and outpatient psychiatric services. Care for patients with complex comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. This site qualifies NHSC Loan Repayment and has a qualifying score of 6! The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues. Qualifications Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of US accredited psychiatry residency program required Current license to practice medicine in Florida as a psychiatrist required Board Certification or Eligible in Psychiatry required Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferred Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred Available Shift Monday-Friday Day Shift All full-time Psychiatrists participate in rotational on call approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. The on call lasts for 7 days / 24 hours per day and is compensated above and beyond the guaranteed annual salary.
