Job Description

INSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE
(PRO
DESK / CONTRACTOR SALES
) $18 per hour Key Responsibilities Customer Sales & Service Assist customers with product selection, quotes, and order placement in-store, over the phone, and via email Build and maintain relationships with contractors and repeat customers Generate and manage quotes, invoices, and sales orders through the POS system Answer product questions and provide solutions based on customer needs Order Management & Fulfillment Process sales and delivery tickets accurately and efficiently Coordinate order pulling, staging, and readiness for pickup or delivery Ensure all orders are fulfilled completely and on time Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery timing, and special instructions Delivery Coordination Maintain and manage daily delivery schedules Coordinate with drivers to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries Confirm delivery details with customers including address, timing, and jobsite requirements Ensure outgoing deliveries are staged, loaded, and ready ahead of schedule Resolve delivery issues and adjust schedules as needed Review delivery activity and performance on a regular basis Apply and communicate delivery fees based on distance and time requirements Point of Sale & Cash Handling Operate register and process transactions including cash, checks, and credit cards Maintain accurate cash drawers and perform daily cash counts Prepare and verify bank deposits Manage petty cash and complete monthly reconciliations Apply customer payments and post credits to accounts Inventory & Store Operations Pull and stage hardware and materials for customer orders Stock incoming inventory and maintain organized, clean workspaces Monitor store inventory levels and report low stock items Execute price updates and ensure accurate product labeling Conduct routine store walk-throughs to maintain standards Administrative & Team Support File and maintain paperwork on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Support training and development of cashiers and new team members Ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in retail, lumber, hardware, or building materials preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and POS system proficiency Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with sales, yard, and delivery teams
