Job Description

Back to Nature Landscaping & Construction is expanding our sales team with a brand‑new role designed for someone who blends exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, and a passion for landscape design. As our Inside Sales & Design Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for clients exploring ideas for their outdoor living spaces — whether they walk into our design center, call with questions, or request help shaping their vision. This is a highly interactive, office‑based role where you'll guide clients through design concepts, help them understand options, and support our outside sales team with design work and proposal development. You'll spend 80-90% of your time in our Blacksburg design center, collaborating with clients and the sales team, and 10-20% in the field visiting customer sites when needed to support accurate designs and recommendations.   • Collaborating to achieve team goals What You'll Do Sales & Client Engagement Serve as primary point of contact for clients visiting the design center, providing a welcoming, knowledgeable and professional experience Guide clients through design concepts, material options and outdoor living possibilities to help them shape their ideal space Support the sales team by assisting with design work, renderings and proposal preparation Conduct phone consultations with prospective clients, gathering information and qualifying opportunities Assist with estimating and pricing for design-build projects, enhancements and outdoor living features Maintain accurate documentation of client conversations, design notes and project details within LMN system Coordinate with the outside sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent client communication Manage inbound inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain an organized pipeline of design center activity Visit client sites as needed to support design accuracy and gather project details Estimate smaller maintenance projects based on information from satellite imagery/photos Stay current on design trends, materials, and outdoor living innovations to better serve clients What You Bring We're flexible on years of experience — we value talent, curiosity, and drive.
