Whiting & Davis is an American Fashion brand known as a pioneer in metal mesh fashion products, handbags, and accessories. Founded 1876 as a silversmithing company, today we are a global brand with international distribution. We are looking for an experienced, well-rounded sales professional with demonstrated ability to lead sales of made-to-order metal mesh fabric for industrial, medical, decorative, and fashion industries. In this role, you will work with a wide range of clients, from prominent fashion houses to industrial designers to create custom mesh products to meet their application.SPECIFIC DUTIES
Main point of contact for custom orders for specialty products from concept through manufacturing and delivery. Consults with manufacturing staff on production feasibility, product cost, and production and delivery schedules. Prepares customer quotes and maintains client communications. Achieves sales growth by attending tradeshows and customer outreach. Manages catalogue and sample requests. Enters order in computer system, schedules orders for shipment. Prepares export shipping documents in accordance with country's regulations and arranges freight method. Coordinates and puts through method of payment and prepares necessary banking documentation. Maintains current accounts information and checks accounts credit status and contacts customers when payments are due. Sends out proforma invoices, monthly statements, credit applications, etc. Prepares mailings and promotional materials including ads. Manages Trade shows, including booking, booth planning, set up and dismantling and freight.QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years experience in sales, preferably in the architectural and design industry or a related field.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal, in-person and virtual).
- Ability to understand and translate customer ideas into finished products.
- Knowledge of administrative, costing and marketing procedures.
- Ability to perform mathematical and analytic computations.
- Fully proficient with
