What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker is seeking an Inspector to join the Construction Services team in Moon! This role involves field-based inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.

What You'll Do:

Perform spot inspections of facilities to assess condition, workmanship, safety, and compliance with established standards and requirements Conduct inspections on rail projects, including track, structures, stations, yards, or related infrastructure, as assigned Verify contractor work complies with plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations Identify deficiencies, non-conforming work, and potential safety issues; document findings clearly Prepare inspection reports, field notes, and photographic documentation Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives regarding inspection findings Monitor corrective actions and follow up to confirm resolution Maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with project and client requirements Travel to multiple sites as needed to support inspection activities What You Need to

Succeed:

High School Diploma (or equivalent) Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check U.S. citizenship, required 3+ years experience performing facility, construction, or infrastructure inspections Ability to climb ladders and stairs; walk job sites; and perform other physical activities associated with field inspections Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, quality control, and safety practices Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents Ability and willingness to travel regularly

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $30/hr - $35/hr. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location. #LI-LM1
