SUMMARY:

This person will function as an Installer in the Installation Department by performing the following duties and reporting to the Plant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in securely loading signs onto trucks Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment/tools, and work areas Assist in installing and mounting illuminated and non-illuminated signs with direction from the Sign Specialist Clean sign, site after installation, and dispose of materials at the plant when done Ability to operate the following equipment: Flat bed truck, pick-up truck, overhead crane, auger, tractor, jack hammer, hi-lo, and assorted hand tools Must be able to travel out of town for periods of time on installation assignments (sometimes up to a week) Complete all required administrative requirements such as filling our receipts, time cards, job packets, and so on. Communicate regularly with the plant as to progress, CI ideas, or issues that arise Be willing to get licenses and certificates as needed, including learning to drive the big trucks Follow all safety protocols in the plant and on site at all times Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to obtain a chauffeur's drivers license, and have a current Michigan drivers license. Those with a chauffeurs license strongly encouraged to apply. Desire to obtain CDL-B or higher and Sign Specialist License. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100# and have the ability to deal with heights. There is a lot of hand digging required for this role. Specific vision abilities required by the job include color vision. Work Environment The work environments characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is both indoors and outdoors, in high and low temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
