Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding Paraprofessional opportunity during the Extended School Year near Aurora, IL! This part-time, contract position runs from June 4, 2026 to June 30, 2026, offering approximately 20 hours per week. Enjoy a consistent schedule every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with guaranteed weekly hours and a focus on providing meaningful support within the classroom. What we're seeking: Experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, especially within school environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to follow teacher and supervisor instructions to assist students effectively Familiarity with direct and indirect student support, such as implementing classroom accommodations or assisting with behavioral interventions Positive attitude and adaptability in fast-paced or changing scenarios Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Travel therapists are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for stipends What you'll do: Provide direct and indirect assistance to students, ensuring individualized support Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational plans Help maintain a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom setting Support students' academic and behavioral needs per established strategies Follow only the contracted hours, with no additional district tasks (such as bus duty or parent pick-up)
