Under the general supervision of the school-based administrators, this professional assists teachers, students, and other staff in the school in coordinating and improving the instructional planning of instruction, delivering instruction, and analyzing instruction and data in order to improve academic success.Job Specifications:

Possesses a thorough knowledge of curriculum and instruction Serves on the school leadership team Works directly with teachers to support instruction in all core areas to improve best practices by modeling lessons and strategies, coaching teachers with pre and post sessions, helping to diagnose student and teacher needs, assisting with creation of common assessments, and determining their outcomes and next steps Works with colleagues in an atmosphere of trust and teambuilding Facilitates professional development Monitors lesson plans to ensure that all phases of the planning process are followed Interacts with the whole school community to build positive relationships Assists with the School/District Renewal Plan Accepts the role of school improvement facilitator under the direction of the principal Encourages teachers to use proven methods and materials where appropriate for improving instruction for all students Helps plan and implement new programs and procedures Supports the administration and teachers by performing related duties as required.Physical Requirements:
