Jul 14, 2026 Job Description Primary Purpose The District Instructional Coach supports campus and district instructional excellence by partnering with principals and teachers to improve teaching and learning outcomes. The Instructional Coach co-facilitates collaborative planning, supports the implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), provides job-embedded coaching and professional development, analyzes student achievement data, and works collaboratively with campus leadership to strengthen instructional practices and student achievement across the district. This is 3 year grant funded position. Pay Scale Exempt, Based upon teacher step + $8,000 stipend, 207 Day Work Calendar Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required Master's degree preferred Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required Experience Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience required Experience in instructional coaching, curriculum leadership, PLC facilitation, or campus leadership preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Coaching and Teacher Support Co-facilitate collaborative planning with teacher teams, including unit and lesson internalization aligned to district curriculum and student learning goals Support teachers in implementing effective, research-based instructional strategies and best practices Observe classroom instruction and provide timely, actionable feedback that promotes teacher reflection, growth, and continuous improvement Conduct structured coaching cycles that include goal setting, observation, feedback, modeling, and reflection Model effective instructional practices and lessons for teachers and teams Assist teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs Support teachers in understanding and internalizing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) Provide targeted support and mentoring for new teachers Professional Learning and PLC Support Design and deliver targeted professional development aligned to district instructional priorities and campus needs Assist principals in facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that provide meaningful opportunities for collaboration, lesson internalization, and instructional planning Collaborate with campus and district leadership to foster a culture of continuous professional learning and instructional excellence Data Analysis and Student Support Proactively monitor and analyze student achievement data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement Use data findings to make recommendations regarding campus goals, instructional responses, and intervention strategies Assist principals and teachers in identifying students in need of targeted academic support Collaborate with campus teams to determine student groupings, intervention schedules, and responsive instructional actions Monitor the alignment of instruction and assessment to district curriculum, standards, and intended student outcomes Collaboration and Leadership Build collaborative relationships with teachers, principals, and district leaders to support instructional improvement efforts Participate in district curriculum initiatives, instructional planning, and continuous improvement efforts Maintain confidentiality regarding student and personnel information Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Superintendent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, assessment, and data-driven instruction Knowledge of effective coaching practices and adult learning theory Ability to facilitate collaborative planning and professional learning Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to analyze data and develop actionable instructional recommendations Ability to build trust and maintain positive working relationships with staff Proficiency in instructional technology and data analysis tools Working Conditions Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Maintain emotional control under stress Frequent district and campus travel may be required Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer use Occasional lifting and carrying of instructional materials and equipment
