Primary Purpose:
Provide support services to the building administrator and teachers in the identification of instructional needs. Help build the capacity of teachers to support academic achievement by analyzing and sharing local and state data. Assuring that curriculum, instruction and assessment are aligned, appropriate, coordinated and effective. The instructional coach will serve as a liaison for district school improvement efforts impacting teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
Appropriate teaching certificate/license Master's Degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of district curriculum Ability to develop and deliver instructional training to adult learners Knowledge of curriculum and technology used in instructional setting Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum of three years successful teaching experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Partners with campus and district administrators; serves as a liaison with teachers. Portrays instructional leadership by modeling and promoting best teaching practices. Designs and support practices that help teachers align practices to campus and district goals. Collaborates regularly with campus teams to analyze data and instructional practices to increase student success. Develops tools to facilitate PLCs analyzing data. Keeps campus staff abreast of legislative updates and changes in state curriculum. Designs standards-based assessments and supports implementation to monitor student progress and drive instructional decisions. Continues professional development and stays current on the latest educational research and best practices. Regularly observes teacher practices and provides feedback in a non-evaluative manner. Communicates needs to campus and district administration. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Complies with all district & campus routines and regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Testing:
Program Planning and Management Responsible for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials for all assessments. Adhere to testing procedures and deadlines. Maintain databases and files as assigned by the Principal and Director of Testing. Assist in the correction of coding errors as needed. Instruction/Program Delivery Responsible for the organization and training of all assessments. Professional Knowledge Assist with investigating and preparing reports for reported test irregularities. Serves as a resource person to campus principals and teachers to meet the instructional needs of students. Interpret testing procedures and regulations for campus personnel. Attend all assessment trainings as directed by the Principal and Director of Testing. Communication and Community Relations Liaison between campus and the District Testing Coordinator for proper implementation of assessment guidelines and criteria Ensure routine cycle of communication of testing information between campus personnel, Special Education, LPAC, 504, and RTI committees on testing program requirements. Assessment Responsible for providing access to student assessment results databases to key campus program personnel Responsible for campus testing documentation compliance Responsible for the integrity and security of all assessments

Personal computers and peripherals, including printers, projectors, Classroom Performance Systems, etc. Working conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Climbing, stooping, lifting, bending, and kneeling, district-wide travel. Prolonged use of computer, and occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
