Position Summary Justin-Siena High School seeks a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor to join its Visual and Performing Arts Department. This part-time teaching position is responsible for instructing two sections of Dance at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels, delivering curriculum aligned with the California Arts Standards, and producing an annual dance concert that showcases student growth and artistic achievement. The ideal candidate is a collaborative educator who works closely with departmental colleagues to ensure curricular coherence and with the broader school community, including administration, faculty, students, and families, to foster a positive, academically focused learning environment. The Dance Instructor monitors and communicates student progress, holds students to clear and consistent expectations, and contributes meaningfully to the vibrant arts culture at Justin-Siena. Essential Responsibilities and Duties The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Teaching two sections of beginning and intermediate Dance and another of intermediate and advanced Dance. Produce an annual dance concert. Teach curriculum that adheres to the most recent California Arts Standards. Collaborate within the Visual and Performing Arts Department to develop and deliver our curriculum. The instructor will collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment across courses, support student growth through clear and consistent expectations, and contribute to a positive and academically focused classroom environment. Maintains and supports an environment that is conducive to learning Collaborates effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, and families Monitors student learning and achievement Communicate with other stakeholders regarding student academic successes and concerns, as appropriate Performance will be measured by Complete, thorough and successful completion of assigned tasks by deadlines established Classroom visits and formal observations by Assistant Principal and Principal Proactive and consistent communication to necessary parties including internal staff, parents, students, coaches, volunteers, and other constituencies' Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines Ability to collaborate with a team and lead students Ability to embrace, support, and enhance the mission, goals, and values of Justin-Siena Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Month Employee Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. The range of compensation is between: $24,452
