Job Title Instrument & Electrical Technician I or II Compensation Level I
- $55/hr Level II
- $71/hr Location Stanton, TX Schedule 5/2
- 40 hrs/week

Classification Safety Sensitive Scope The Instrument & Electrical Technician I or II will support safe and reliable operation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within oil & gas production and processing facilities. This role supports maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, new installations, and operational reliability efforts while ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards, PTWS requirements, and OIMS expectations. Main Functions Instrument & Electrical Technician I Installs and maintains instrument equipment in compliance with company rules and practices Supports field electrical maintenance activities Supports electrical isolation and LOTO procedures for lighting, HVAC, motors, and related systems Typically reports to a supervisor or manager Instrument & Electrical Technician II Installs and maintains electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with company standards Tests and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment Evaluates electrical systems and instruments to establish repair plans Documents issues, troubleshooting steps, and corrective actions Tasks and Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and oversee activities in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures with strong emphasis on safety and environmental stewardship Support collaboration between operations, engineering, and project teams Review electrical, instrumentation, and control specifications and work practices Maintain accountability for electrical and control systems in accordance with the Work Management Manual Apply and follow Permit To Work System (PTWS) procedures Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled through the Maintenance Program Support technical development and training initiatives for electrical and instrumentation personnel Attend and assist with technical meetings regarding procedures, specifications, codes, and technologies Maintain open communication regarding electrical and control issues, safe work practices, training, and materials Support maintenance prioritization efforts to maximize operational effectiveness Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support for electrical and instrumentation systems Generate and support Management of Change (MOC) activities related to electrical and control equipment Monitor and inspect new installations for compliance and operational consistency Serve as stand-in support for Instrument & Electrical Lead roles as needed Qualifications Level I High school diploma or equivalent required Technical school coursework preferred Experience maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation within oil & gas processing or production facilities preferred Level II Associate degree preferred Technical school coursework preferred Experience maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation within oil & gas processing or production facilities preferred Technical Requirements Familiarity with oil & gas facility regulations and operational standards Working knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures Experience supporting PTWS and LOTO processes Ability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems Computing and reporting skills Understanding of Operations Integrity Critical competencies and training requirements Preferred Experience Oil & gas production or processing facility experience Instrumentation and controls troubleshooting Electrical maintenance and repairs MOC participation Preventive and corrective maintenance support Experience supporting operational uptime and reliability initiatives Behavioral Expectations Strong safety orientation Good communication and organizational skills Attention to detail Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities Team-oriented mindset Additional Details Agency supplied ½ ton truck ExxonMobil will provide tools and 4-gas monitor In-person meet & greet preferred (Zoom can be accommodated) Local candidates required due to on-call rotation No per diem available hti3AgeuF9Similar jobs in Stanton, TX
