The work contributes to protecting policyholders and strengthening the overall insurance system. As a Insurance Company Examiner 1, you will perform the following duties:
Field Examinations:
Travel to examination locations and observe company operations under guidanceInformation Review:
Analyze documents, filings, records, and public data to understand insurer practicesCommunication Skills:
Share findings with supervisors and company representatives through discussions and reportsRisk Assessment:
Evaluate solvency risks and consider how insurer controls and procedures address themTesting Procedures:
Assist in developing and performing tests that check the effectiveness of company controlsRegulatory Compliance:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework:
This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.Salary:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as an Insurance Company Examiner Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of professional experience in the audit or examination of the financial conditions and operations of insurance companies and a bachelor's degree that includes 6 college credits in accounting, 3 college credits in finance or economics, and 3 college credits in business law; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 6 college credits in accounting, 3 college credits in finance or economics, and 3 college credits in business law.Other Requirements:
